TALLER DE IMPROVISACIÓN CON STEVE CLORFEINE (NY) EN AREA!!!

Hola a tod@s,

Tenemos la gran oportunidad de tener al improvisador Steve Clorfeine (NY) en Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació ofreciéndonos un taller de 6 días del 31 de marzo al 5 de abril de 10h a 13h y de 14.30h a 17h.

Trabajaremos la improvisación entendida como una práctica meditativa, a través del movimiento, el sonido y el texto… El taller se impartirá en inglés, tendremos traducción al español. Plazas limitadas.

Steve Clorfeine (NY): La improvisación,base de mis 35 años como performer,escritor,director y profesor. Estudié con Barbara Dilley, una de las primeras bailarinas de la compañía Merce Cunningham. Al mismo tiempo, estudié escritura y poética con Allen Ginsberg,Diane DiPrima,Ted Berrigan y una serie de escritores invitados por el Instituto Naropa.Fui miembro de la compañía de Meredith Monk durante 12 años,y de la compañía Ping Chong’s Fiji,en ambas actuando y enseñando en U.S. y Europa.A partir del 1977,he creado mi propio trabajo,utilizando el teatro físico como base para incorporar texto,películas y personajes.Mis colaboraciones incluyen los músicos Jerry Granelli,Steve Gorn y Jay Clayton;y los actores/bailarines Lanny Harrison,Arawana Hayashi,Brenda Bufalino,Wendell Beavers.En 08-09 recibo 2 Becas U.S.Cultural Enjoy para producir obras de teatro en India y en Nepal.Soy autor del libro “In The Valley Of The Gods”,así como de varias colecciones de poesía.Vivo en New York. http://www.steveclorfeine.com/

Hello everyone,

We have the great opportunity to have the improviser Steve Clorfeine (NY) at Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació giving us 6 day workshop from 31st of March to 5th of April, from 10h to 13h and from 14.30h to 17h.

Steve Clorfeine (NY): Original performance, developed through improvisation, has been the foundation of my 35 years as a performer, director, and teacher. I studied improvisation with Barbara Dilley, one of the early members of Merce Cunningham’s company. At the same time, I studied writing and poetics with Allen Ginsberg, Diane DiPrima, Ted Berrigan and a host of New York and California writers gathered at The Naropa Institute.While performing improvised work, I met Meredith Monk and became a member of her company for 12 years, performing and teaching in the U.S. and Europe. At the same time I joined Ping Chong’s Fiji Company, also performing and teaching in Europe and the U.S. From 1977 on, I’ve created my own work, using physical theatre as a base for introducing text, film, and characters. Collaborations include musicians Jerry Granelli, Steve Gorn, and Jay Clayton; actors/dancers Lanny Harrison, Arawana Hayashi, Brenda Bufalino, Wendell Beavers. In 2008-09 I received 2 U.S. Cultural Envoy grants to produce theatre pieces in India and in Nepal.
